Recruiting & HR Generalist

Location: Alpharetta, GA (On-site)
Travel: Up to 10%

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Recruiting & HR Generalist to join a well-established construction organization. This role will focus primarily on recruiting top talent for project management and field positions while supporting broader HR initiatives such as onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement, and social media presence. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants room to grow within a collaborative team.

Key

Responsibilities
  • Lead recruiting efforts for project managers, assistant PMs, superintendents, and interns.
  • Conduct interviews and coordinate the hiring process with leadership.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, trade shows, and school recruiting events (approx. 10% travel).
  • Develop and maintain a social media presence to promote company culture and attract talent.
  • Organize employee engagement activities (lunches, events, recognition programs).
  • Assist with onboarding and, over time, support payroll and HR functions.
  • Serve as a positive, professional face of the organization in all recruiting and HR interactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required).
  • Experience in recruiting or HR strongly preferred; construction industry experience a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to handle candid conversations and maintain professionalism.
  • Willingness to learn social media and marketing basics.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
  • Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus based on company profitability (up to 15%).
  • Benefits: Full medical, dental, disability, 401(k) with match, 15 days vacation.
