Overview

The Direct Care Clinician (RBT) will provide skill instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon theories of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to individuals of all ages in the home, in-clinic, school, and community settings. The Direct Care Clinician (RBT) will implement skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans (BIP) under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. The Direct Care Clinician (RBT) will consistently communicate with all team members, attend team meetings, collect patient data, provide detailed session notes, and participate in ongoing training to ensure effective treatment for each patient.

This role's responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all applicable accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, including those not explicitly outlined in this job description. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 intervention to individuals consistent with best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention across communication, social, and adaptive skills domains
  • Interpret and implement individualized treatment plans as designed by BCBA, supervising clinician
  • Collect data and make data-based decisions with oversight of BCBA, supervising clinician
  • Complete incident reports or other non-clinical documentation in a timely fashion
  • Complete session notes and other clinical documentation in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to the BACB RBT task list 2nd edition
  • Work closely with family members to coordinate care across home, community, and school settings; and maintain professional standards in line with TAC’s core values
Teamwork Responsibilities
  • Must be able to work cooperatively as a member of a team
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain HIPAA Compliance
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation utilizing Motivity throughout sessions (e.g. session notes, incident reports)
  • Accurately report start of session and end of session in Aloha/Motivity
Professional Responsibilities
  • Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean
  • Maintain current RBT Certificate
  • Maintain current CPR Certificate
  • Complete annual BACB RBT Competency Checklist
  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled
  • Wears keycard while on duty
  • Attends six month reviews
  • Maintains BACB RBT continuing education standards
  • Attends monthly staff meetings
  • Attends monthly Direct Care Clinician trainings
  • Attend monthly performance plan trainings
Communication Responsibilities
  • Seek clinical direction from supervising clinician
  • Relay any parental concerns reported, or updates regarding the patient’s daily routines, medications, support provider recommendation to the supervising clinician
  • Debrief parent/guardian on patient session outcome data
  • Secure parent signatures during patient drop off and pick up
  • Notify supervising clinician/BCBA of any situations or conditions that may impact their ability to provide ABA services (e.g. domestic, financial, medical)
  • Notify supervising clinician/BCBA of any grievances reported to the BACB within 30 days of incident
Safety And Sanitation Responsibilities
  • Participate in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment
  • Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids
  • Adhere to cleaning checklist and perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace
  • Washes hands at the onset of session, during the session as needed, and at the end of the session
  • Follow established safety policies and procedures
  • Keeps excess supplies and equipment off floor and stores in storage room
  • Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to Operations Coordinator immediately
  • Report all safety violations to Operations Coordinator
Reporting Of Information Responsibilities
  • Report any suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate government authorities in accordance with mandatory reporting laws, while being mindful of cultural, community, and family norms.
