What: Seeking a Controller to support the CFO and lead a small team of accountants.

Where: Alpharetta, GA

Salary: $140k-$150k plus bonus, and excellent benefits

Position Overview:
We're looking for a hands-on Controller with experience in construction accounting to manage day-to-day financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial clarity across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions

• Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

• Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions

• Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements

• Liaise with project managers and operations for financial tracking

• Implement and optimize use of financial and construction software

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry

• Proficiency in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar

• Familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management software

• Strong job costing and AI billing experience

• Sales tax compliance experience is a plus

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
