Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Loan Underwriter located at our Alpharetta, GA office. The Loan Underwriter will be responsible for the preparation of loan approval memos through the evaluation of commercial loan applications, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with lending guidelines. Responsibilities include the ability to assess an applicant’s credit worthiness, verifying documents, formulating questions and requests for items needed to make a sound credit decision, and effectively communicating to management both verbally and written form.
Strong collaboration skills are essential, as the role requires working closely with other financial professionals and clients.
- Proficiency in Commercial Loan Underwriting to assess and process loan applications effectively.
- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial information and determine creditworthiness.
- Knowledge of finance principles and lending practices to support accurate decision-making.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring compliance with banking regulations and policies.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in underwriting or finance are advantageous.
- Minimum five or more years of relevant underwriting experience.
