DescriptionWithin our client – they have a desire to seek to continuously improve in all aspects of our business. As such the role of our FP&A senior manager overseeing six sites in North America on three ERPs is key in supporting our operations in driving change and delivering positive, meaningful value enhancement to the sites and the broader business.
Responsible for partnering with the site operations leads and their site leadership teams in ensuring aligned budgeting, forecasting and analysis of results that delivers robust and accurate financial improvements while balanced with other operational key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, partnering with them on their cost savings targets.
Supporting financial harmonization and simplification projects across the client’s group (ERP agnostic).
This role has four direct reports across the US that would all be virtual.
Primary Duties- To partner with the operations teams to set aligned, realistic but stretching financial targets as part of the budget process.
- Work with the sites and the global FP&A team to ensure costs are captured in line with the global FP&A guidelines.
- To ensure the preparation and sign off of standard costs within the ERP system of the sites aligned with the budget targets established.
- Work closely with the site teams to understand the causes of monthly financial variances as reported through site financial KPIs and drive action to challenge the causes of adverse performance and share best practice within the client’s FP&A team.
- Drive the operational excellence program for the sites, working closely with cross functional teams to build credible financial benefit modelling for projects and balanced prioritization aligned with the client’s strategic goals.
- Build realistic financial forecasts each month, encompassing a good understanding of causes of variances with the operational excellence program to deliver a harmonized financial picture for each site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Experience of LN(Infor), Oracle, SAP or other ERP system
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to take an analytical approach with good attention to detail
- Tenacity and curiosity to dig deeper
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong connections across functions
- Experience working in a senior operations finance position
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and being confident to question self and others
- Desire to get behind the numbers and turn figures into financial insight
- Desire to lead and manage people
