The Paraplanner, Centralized Services position includes exhibiting technical financial planning expertise and the ability to analyze confidential client financial information. The role integrates the company's financial planning philosophy and biblical principles into customized financial plans to help clients achieve their goals.
This position is part of a centralized service center located in the Blue Trust National Office in Alpharetta, GA. Team members serve client and advisory teams across the country under the direction of our Financial Planning Department.
While this role emphasizes administrative responsibilities, it focuses on developing expertise in financial planning tools and knowledge, with occasional client communication.
Principal Accountabilities- Interact with planners, advisors, and clients to organize and prepare key financial planning deliverables for meetings and interactions.
- Develop high-quality, accurate, attractive, and professional reports and presentations that integrate a biblical worldview into financial recommendations, maintaining consistency with standardized processes and proven methods.
- Adhere to Blue Trust “Standards of Care” for client service counsel and deliverables.
- Seek to continually increase knowledge of Blue Trust’s financial planning philosophy and biblical principles, including learning associated scripture memory verses to integrate into client counsel.
- Exhibit technical knowledge and competency in cash flow planning and projections, education funding, debt management, income tax estimation and minimization, charitable giving strategies, retirement, insurance, and estate planning. Team members are expected to develop expertise across Blue Trust’s Advisory toolbox for client service, including portfolio management, financial plan construction, and topic-specific analysis and recommendations.
- Coordinate with Centralized Portfolio Management Teams for transition analysis.
- Review risk using eMoney and Holistiplan for insurance summary and gap analysis.
- Plan taxes with Holistiplan.
- Conduct investment analysis and proposals generation with Orion Risk Intelligence.
- Construct time-based investment allocation recommendations with eMoney.
- Analyze Medicare and recommend using i65 Analysis.
- Plan Social Security using Horse’s Mouth/Maximize My Social Security.
- Demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency in specialized office programs and company-specific software such as eMoney, Salesforce, Orion, and niche planning applications.
- Understand and support the counsel and biblical basis upon which Blue Trust serves clients.
- Approach work, interactions, and relationships consistently with the company’s core values.
- Maintain highest compliance standards by adhering to HR guidelines, compliance policies, professional designation standards, and industry regulatory standards.

- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a finance-related field.
- Prior experience not required but valuable if related to financial planning, financial services, taxes, or accounting.
- Experience with industry tools and resources such as eMoney, Holistiplan, Precise
FP, FP Pathfinder, Orion/Orion Risk Intelligence, and others is a plus.
- Financial Planning education and credentials such as CFP®, CKA®, MBA, ChFC, CPA, etc. are a plus.
- If licensed to sell securities or insurance, the license must expire after leaving your prior employer, as Blue Trust employees cannot “park” licenses.
- This position may require limited travel by car or other reasonable means of transportation.
