We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. This internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the design, development, and assembly of automated production equipment used in electronics manufacturing. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to support ongoing projects and learn about factory automation systems from concept through delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and drafting of mechanical parts and assemblies using EPLAN or similar electrical design software
- Support the development and testing of custom automation equipment
- Participate in system integration, assembly, and documentation
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure complete system functionality
- Conduct basic research and help prepare technical documentation or reports
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Strong interest in automation, robotics, or industrial systems
- Basic proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, equivalent
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Eagerness to learn and apply electrical design principles in real‑world automation systems
- Experience electrical prototyping, wiring, or panel building
- Familiarity with automation systems, PLC programming, or industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, PROFINET)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Understanding of manufacturing and safety standards (e.g., UL, CE)
- Hands‑on experience in a global automation company
