Be the piece that brings our projects together! CMC is searching for a Staff Engineer to support our Tensar Division. The Staff Engineer role will be responsible for performing engineering functions relating to mechanically-stabilized earth wall and slope applications in accordance with Tensar policies, standards of engineering practice, and project specific requirements.
What You'll Do- Provides engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other required technical documentation
- Review project geotechnical and structural information and perform project evaluations to examine technical and commercial feasibility
- Produce required project construction drawing using AutoCAD
- Apply technical and functional knowledge to design world-class solutions that effectively integrates with the business units’ operations
- Design and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects
- Participate in various developmental trainings and business projects
- Possess a strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project required
- Ability to interpret data presented on design documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office:
Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point - Previous internship experiences preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with project managers, and team members
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering Required
- Master's degree preferred
- Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
