Position
:
Field Applications Engineer (FAE)
- Spending a majority of your time in front of customers to influence component selection.
- Utilizing an advanced understanding of customer needs and technical leadership to champion return on engineering investment.
- Managing supplier and customer expectations by building relationships, keeping stakeholders up-to-date on activities, plans, and progress towards initiatives. Identify key relationships among decision makers within suppliers and customers.
- Growing your account base each quarter.
- Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs. Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to facilitate solutions. Apply technical knowledge to influence designs using solution selling, resources, and strategies.
- Identifying solutions and resolutions to customer design needs and issues.
- Monitoring performance metrics throughout the quarter and taking corrective action as necessary to meet or exceed them.
- Presenting technical seminars and workshops around supplier lines.
- Providing frequent updates to the field sales team and supporting supplier lines as a motivating force.
- Partnering with the sales team across pre- and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation. Calibrations and research with sales and other Arrow departments and suppliers in support of customer design. Champion return on engineering investment, design win priorities, initiatives, and promotions by obtaining buy-in and support from sales.
- Attending and actively participating in strategic branch meetings and Q . Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions. Participate in Arrow
EDGE initiatives through branch training and customer calls. Organize engineering customer events. - Meeting with suppliers to review recent customer design activity and identify compelling solutions to promote with those customers.
- Attend supplier trainings in person and via conference calls.
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components.
- Breadth of knowledge of electronic components.
- Experience with board-level/circuit design engineering.
- Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable being in front of customers.
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
- Independent worker; receives minimal guidance.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Stays up-to-date on supplier products and Arrow design services to act as a technical-marketing advisor to customers.
- Digital/Embedded Experience
- FPGA Experience
- Background in technical sales
Typically requires a 4-year technical degree (engineering preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.
Work ArrangementHybrid: 2 days in office/3 days in the field.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate
76,600.
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
