* Manage and update UL files; ensure compliance with UL, CSA, ANSI, Seismic certifications and standards including facilitating factory inspections to verify processes
* Evaluate alternate and new components for compliance and suitability in Caterpillar designs and products.
* Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and maintain revision control.
* Develop and maintain design guides and create a library for standard designs and training.
* Manage existing PLC template programs including revision control.
* Collaborate with product groups, design control, production and operations to ensure development, validation and production that meets applicable standards and manufacturability goals.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product standards and compliance risks.

You Will Have:
** Data Gathering & Analysis:
Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
* Understands certification requirements and applies them to product design and documentation.
* Maintains compliance records and supports audits and inspections.
* Identifies gaps in compliance and recommends corrective actions.
* Communicates regulatory changes to engineering and production teams.
* Develops clear, accurate documentation for engineering standards and processes.
* Organizes and updates design libraries for training and reference.
* Ensures documentation meets internal and external compliance requirements.
* Reviews and validates technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
* Assesses risks and benefits of alternate components and designs.
* Applies structured decision-making processes to resolve technical issues.
* Balances compliance requirements with cost and manufacturability considerations.
* Uses data and evidence to support recommendations and decisions.
* Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation standards.
* Experience with component evaluation and supplier compliance.
* Knowledge of design for manufacturability principles.

* Relocation is offered for this position.

* This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
