Video Editor – Contract
Term: 3–6 months starting February 23
Hours:
35–40 hours per week with possibility of overtime
Rate: $40/hr depending on skillset and experience
Locations:
Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Portland, Tysons
Not considering candidates from:
California (Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area) or NYC
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid – remote and in-office from Day 1, and as required by business needs
Role Overview
As an experienced video editor, you are a highly creative and motivated professional with the ability to lead and influence strategic visions that help internal stakeholders solve complex business challenges with innovative video solutions. You will consult with internal clients to understand their objectives, including the nature of the video, target audience and intended message.
You will perform complex edits to deliver high-quality video content through thoughtful design, planning and production. You have a strong understanding of publishing technology and will implement video, audio, voice-over production, media integration and podcast production. You will collaborate with others on the best use, combination and repurposing of each medium to meet strategic objectives and will work both independently and as part of a larger creative team.
You will manage internal client relationships, acting as project manager and single point of contact for deliverables by preparing budgets, timelines, estimates and recording documentation, while communicating status updates. You will recommend media and offer creative options to enhance the message through audio and video. You will review, identify and edit video footage, adding effects and elements (audio, video, color, animation) to enhance the final product, using video-editing processes and equipment to deliver in formats suitable for audience viewing.
You may function in any creation or production capacity related to audio/video recording, animations and video graphics, podcast publishing, video publishing for on-demand streaming and sound editing.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Digital creative portfolio demonstrating outstanding video-editing abilities, conceptual thinking and design skills
- 5+ years of video editing experience creating marketing and communications video content for both internal and external use
- Proficiency in text-to-video AI video generation, preferably with Adobe Firefly
