Residential Designer
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
Pay Range:
- $60 - 80K, depending on experience
- The position will assist with the production of construction documents using AutoCAD.
- Responsible for performing a wide range of architectural drafting and design tasks such as redlining plans for construction, developing new home elevations, coordinating MEP layout revisions, and assisting sales and construction with all plan needs.
- Ideally this candidate will have extensive experience with residential home building practices to fully understand the plans being developed and used in construction.
- This position will help with production drafting, picking up red lines and creating construction document details for residential architectural drawings.
- The work is a fast-paced production environment. For this role it is essential that candidates be proficient with AutoCAD.
- Drafting, modification, and maintenance of new and existing home plans.
- Development of plan sets for plot plan requests and permitting.
- Drafting construction "redline" plan sets with selected options/upgrades for field use.
- Ensure drawing information is kept up to date with all applicable building codes.
- Maintain CAD software and file management.
- Ensure master plan file is kept up to date with all plan updates/changes.
- Visit construction sites as necessary to identify any design issues or cost saving opportunities.
- Ensure marketing department has current plans for creation of brochures and review all brochures to verify accuracy.
- Provide drawing clarification and support to sales and construction teams as needed.
- 3+ years of single-family home construction document production experience
- AutoCAD proficiency
