Position SummaryChroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a dependable and energetic Floater / After school Teacher to support classrooms throughout the day and provide engaging supervision for school‑age children during after school hours. This role is ideal for someone flexible, collaborative, and passionate about working with children of varying ages.
Key Responsibilities- Support classrooms as needed to maintain proper teacher-to-child ratios
- Assist lead teachers with daily routines, activities, and transitions
- Provide supervision and enrichment activities for after school students
- Create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children and encourage appropriate behavior
- Follow all licensing, safety, and Chroma Early Learning Academy policies
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom and shared spaces
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or childcare coursework preferred)
- Experience working with children in a childcare or after school setting preferred
- Ability to work with multiple age groups
- Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to meet all Georgia DECAL and licensing requirements
- Flexible hours; may include mornings, afternoons, and after school hours
- Additional hours available based on center needs
- CPR Certification
- Previous experience in childcare
