The Senior Trade Compliance Analyst supports Hansgrohe’s global import and export compliance functions by managing classifications, supporting CTPAT activities, conducting internal audits, ensuring adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. This role performs advanced analytical and compliance work but does not manage direct reports. Operational activities, policies, procedures, training, and metrics remain core elements of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate classification, licensing, documentation, data retention, and reporting for all domestic and international shipments.
- Ensure alignment of all products, platforms, processes, procedures, metrics, and training with global trade compliance requirements.
- Serve as a technical resource to internal teams for import and export regulatory questions.
- Conduct HTS classifications and obtain binding rulings when necessary.
- Perform denied‑party screening and support anti‑boycott reviews.
- Assist in export compliance activities including EAR/CCL review, AES filings, and license exemptions.
- Research foreign import requirements, rules of origin, labeling needs, and applicable preferential trade programs.
- Support audit readiness and documentation maintenance for all customs and export documentation.
- Conduct research on parties appearing on denied, restricted, or sanctioned lists.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for internal teams related to import/export regulations and CTPAT requirements.
- Stay current on international and domestic trade compliance laws and regulatory developments.
- Support import compliance including proper HTS classification, CTPAT compliance, GSP eligibility, ISF, and broker management.
- Interface with freight forwarders and customs brokers regarding logistical processes and customs issues.
- Audit customs brokerage entries, import documentation, domestic/international freight invoices, and customs duties.
- Generate and maintain logistical and customs‑related reporting including tracking reports and address correction metrics.
- Create monthly SOX reports and compliance‑related documentation as required.
- Assist in developing tools and data analysis for customs and logistics assessments.
- Support N5 documentation audits and updates; assist with policy revisions.
- Conduct CTPAT security audits including vendor audits, facility reviews, and annual security profile updates.
- Prepare documentation for CTPAT revalidation processes with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
- Conduct CTPAT annual training for employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Support Hansgrohe Inc. teams with logistics and trade compliance topics.
- Assist with duty drawback processes and related documentation when applicable.
- Serve as a support resource for SAP, SAP GTS, and logistics modules, including troubleshooting and testing.
- Perform all testing requirements in DR1, QR1, PR1, DV8, QS8, and PR8 environments related to SAP and SAP GTS for U.S. facilities and trade compliance.
- Perform work safely and in compliance with company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, international trade, or a related field required.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or customs.
- Solid understanding of Title 15 (Commerce and Foreign Trade) and Title 19 (Customs Duties).
- Experience with SAP and/or SAP GTS strongly preferred.
- Understanding of export controls, licensing regulations, HTS classification, and free trade agreements.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret and implement regulations.
