Financial / Systems Reporting Manager
Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 remote)
OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and systems-oriented Financial / Systems Reporting Manager to lead internal management reporting, business unit P&L development, and financial data architecture. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Accounting, and IT, translating complex financial and system data into clear insights for senior leadership and the Board.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working with ERP systems, data warehouses, and BI tools to build scalable, accurate, and insightful reporting.
Key Responsibilities Financial & Management Reporting- Own internal management reporting, including monthly and ad-hoc reporting for senior leadership.
- Build and maintain business unit P&Ls
, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency. - Analyze financial performance and trends, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Serve as a finance systems subject matter expert, with a deep understanding of ERP structure, system dimensions, and data flows
. - Partner with IT and external resources to help enhance a data warehouse
. - Translate ERP and source-system data into structured, reliable reporting models.
- Ensure data integrity across systems and reporting layers.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI
. - Develop scalable reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and improve visibility.
- Document reporting logic, data definitions and system mappings.
- Translate detailed financial and operational data into clear, concise Board-level presentations
. - Prepare materials and analysis for executive leadership and Board decks.
- Act as a trusted partner to leadership, explaining system-driven results in business terms.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance systems
, with at least some experience at the Manager level - Strong experience with JD Edwards (JDE) ERP
- Deep understanding of financial system dimensions, chart of accounts, and data structures
- Proven experience building management reporting and P&Ls
- Strong Power BI experience (dashboard design, data modeling and reporting)
- High level of IT and systems acumen
, including data warehouses and reporting architecture - Ability to communicate complex financial/system concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting or implementing a data warehouse
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification
- Prior experience preparing or supporting Board-level reporting
- Background working closely with IT, data, or analytics teams
- Accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting
- Scalable reporting infrastructure with reduced manual processes
- Clear linkage between system data, financial results and executive decision-making
- Strong partnership with Finance, IT and leadership teams
