- Cash Receipts Specialist*
* ** Location-    Alpharetta Georgia (Hybrid)*
* ** Duration: 12 month contract (Possibility of extension)*
* ** Pay- $18/hr*
* Job Description:

The Cash Receipts Specialist will be responsible for processing, balancing, and posting cash receipts to Delta Dental accounting system(s); distributing daily reports and miscellaneous accounts receivable entries as assigned. The incumbent must be able to handle a high volume of cash receipt postings for various enterprise companies in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks:

Processes, balances and posts cash receipt items to Delta Dental Accounts Receivable system as assigned.

Reviews, edits and balances daily cash receipt postings and meets department turn-around time.

Reviews all checks; verifies accuracy of all pertinent information (signatures, amounts, issuer names, etc.), and utilizes payment backup to ensure timely and accurate cash application.

Researches and processes unapplied and unidentified receipts in a timely manner.

Requests, reviews, edits and distributes daily reports.

Escalates issues/problems to supervisor for resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years of experience (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Billing) w/High School

Additional Experience

2+ years of related experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Must possess strong organizational skills; able to handle a high volume of checks/cash receipts for various enterprise companies while maintaining accuracy.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment, effectively meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Knowledge of Oracle Financial system is preferred.

Knowledge of Delta Dental policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.
