About The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support Load Up’s day-to-day accounting operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP). This role is critical to ensuring timely vendor payments, accurate expense tracking, and clean financial data. The Accounting Specialist will also support the month-end close process and handle general accounting tasks, partnering closely with the broader finance team.

What You’ll Do
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Manage payment runs and vendor communications.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Maintain accurate AP aging and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
- Support balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records within the general ledger.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting.
- Maintain organized documentation for all accounting transactions.
- Assist in strengthening accounting processes, internal controls, and workflows.
- Partner with operations to resolve cross-functional AP-related questions.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendor and AP inquiries.
Support ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives as the company scales.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Experience with spend management platforms such as Ramp, Brex, or is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic financial reporting principles.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
