Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager, CPA
Lead and resolve financial reporting and accounting affairs, assisting with the resolution of significant, complex, and/or unusual transactions, serving as the technical accounting expert responsible for providing support on various operations and transactions, maintaining the company’s accounting policies, and implementing new accounting standards, to ensure proper application of US GAAP and other external regulatory reporting requirements.
Individual accountabilities- Provide technical accounting advice on issues impacting the business operations, preparing detailed calculations on the impact of decisions on organizational finances, in order to contribute to managing the day to day operations and projects.
- Lead the preparation of whitepapers to establish and support the operation and underlying businesses related technical accounting conclusions and overall recommendations, to ensure technical accounting affairs are in compliance with US GAAP and other external regulations and requirements.
- Prepare financial statements for ad hoc requests, these may include assisting in the preparation of carve-out financial statements, for compliance reporting and similar needs in order to ensure compliance with US GAAP and all disclosure and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the Company’s evaluation of technical accounting matters, including those related to complex transactions, emerging areas, and adoption of new accounting standards to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide interpretation of new US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations in order to address their potential impact on the business.
- Manage the Company’s accounting policies, keeping abreast of accounting changes, on a timely basis, making recommendations quantifying the impact of those changes to the financial statements, to ensure they continue to be relevant as US GAAP guidance as the business evolves.
- Research and document technical accounting and reporting requirements, in order to analyze technical accounting affairs arising from business transactions or the implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
- Support the external reporting process by evaluating the disclosure requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Participates in the execution of strategic projects to help optimize all elements of the finance function.
- Support the accounting team with annual audit requirements and work with external auditors to meet the annual audit and interim quarterly review completion deadlines.
- Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting
- Strong technical accounting background with a thorough working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research.
- CPA license required.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 Public Accounting Firm and/or a publicly‑traded company is required.
