Position: Accounts Assistant (30 Hours Per Week)

Pro Match is exclusively supporting a well‑established recycling and waste‑management business in Alness as they welcome an additional Accounts Assistant to their friendly team. If you enjoy numbers, organisation and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this is a brilliant chance to grow your skills in a busy, growing local employer.

This part‑time role (30 hours per week, with flexibility across Monday - Friday) focuses on sales invoicing and day‑to‑day finance administration - the kind of work that keeps the whole operation ticking. You’ll be joining at a genuinely positive time of change, with a full handover and great support as the current post‑holder steps into a promoted role.

What you’ll be doing
  • Preparing and issuing sales invoices
  • Managing databases and keeping customer records accurate and up to date
  • Handling customer enquiries about invoices and pricing
  • Processing annual price updates at a transactional level
  • Recharging subcontractor work and ensuring correct pricing is applied
  • Monitoring non‑conforming waste charges and invoicing these accurately
  • Updating payment records and managing daily credit card transactions
  • Checking invoice parameters, fault‑finding and supporting smooth processes
  • Providing general admin support and holiday cover within the team
Our Ideal Candidate

You don’t need years of finance experience - what matters most is accuracy, confidence with numbers and a willingness to learn. Much of the work is industry‑specific and full training will be provided.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have strong maths skills or relevant qualifications
  • Enjoy structured, detail‑focused work
  • Are comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Have previous office experience, or are coming from relevant study and looking to build your first office‑based role
  • Are organised, reliable and confident working with processes and data

Experience with Sage is helpful but not essential.

The role is 30 hours per week, with flexibility around which days you work and hours between 8am and 5pm. The hourly rate is up to £16.25, depending on experience.
