As a Mortgage Construction and Post-Closing Specialist at Mercantile Bank in Alma, MI, you will play a vital role in the residential mortgage loan process. Your responsibilities will include preparing and disbursing funds for construction draws, tracking and reviewing closing packages and collaborating with the secondary market team to ensure loans are delivered to investors promptly and accurately. You will utilize various systems and tools to transmit files, prepare HUD binders for insuring, activate PMI policies, disburse loans, and monitor construction disbursements.

To excel as a Mortgage Funding & Post-Closing Specialist at Mercantile Bank, you will need strong verbal and written communication skills will be essential for interacting with customers and internal teams effectively.

• 1-3 Years experience in banking or mortgage operations and closing
• A high school diploma or GED

• Understanding of mortgage regulations, construction draw processes and lending guidelines
• Knowledge of title policies
