UPMC is excited to welcome a full-time Licensed practical Nurse (LPN) Lead to our Endocrinology Associates, Outpatient team/office (with laboratory services on site) in Lemoyne
!

Hours/Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm - No Weekends required!

10% or less travel to our other offices in Carlisle and York.

This position offers a $7,500.00 sign-on bonus with 2-year work commitment!

Responsibilities
  • Train and mentors Licensed practical Nurses (LPNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs).
  • Provide support to our Registered Nurse staff (RNs).
  • Ensure proper staffing of the clinic at all times.
  • Assign physicians to exam rooms/pods on a daily basis.
  • Assign clinic staff to support the physicians and physician extenders on a daily basis.
  • Order all clinical supplies.
  • Represent the concerns/issues of the clinic flow staff.
  • Work with the clinical manager on resolution of clinic issues.
  • Provide input for LPN/MA performance review and conducts review in conjunction with the clinical coordinator.
  • Provide input for hiring decisions.
  • Assess patient's general condition and takes vital signs and weight.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM under the direction of an RN.
  • Phlebotomy and endocrine testing as ordered.
  • Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed and prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
  • Maintain Strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
