What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Support and enhance rating tools to optimize underwriting team production
  • Conduct in-depth research and technical analyses to refine rate plans and identify new variables
  • Monitor portfolio performance through rate changes and adequacy assessments
  • Collaborate with senior underwriting leaders to analyze profit and loss drivers
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS) designation required
  • Strong understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance business
  • Experience with Pricing in Commercial lines, specifically in Excess & Specialty, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and programming/data manipulation/statistical analysis (SQL, R/Python)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with Commercial GL and Cyber lines
  • Demonstrated projects in machine learning and predictive modeling/econometrics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and a customer-focused mindset
