Required Skills:

• Valid state licensure as an Optometrist
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in optometry
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing ocular conditions
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience working in FQHC clinics or hospital settings
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Drive-in availability for patient outreach and service delivery

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
• Current Board Certification
• Prior experience in diverse outpatient or hospital-based clinical environments

Other Requirements:

• Candidates must be local or willing to self-travel, as client covers no travel expenses
• Credentialing period of approximately 60-90 days
• Availability for work on Wednesdays and Fridays, with potential for additional hours at other locations
• Willingness to participate in one week of EMR training/shadowing
• Commitment to maintaining licensure, certifications, and ongoing professional development
