Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate records. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy in all aspects of accounts receivable functions.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.

- Handle commercial collections, following up on outstanding invoices and communicating with clients to resolve payment issues.

- Apply cash payments to appropriate accounts in a timely and efficient manner.

- Perform billing functions, including generating and distributing invoices to customers.

- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and resolve any issues.

- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and prepare reports for management.

- Utilize Quick Books software to manage accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.

- Provide excellent customer service when addressing client inquiries regarding billing and payments. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including collections and cash applications.

- Proficiency in Quick Books or similar accounting software.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of billing functions and familiarity with financial reconciliation processes.

- Experience in commercial collections is highly desirable.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
