Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentiveness to guests’ needs

  • Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
  • Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
  • Work both independently and with a team
  • Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames
Typical Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience
  • Greet guests and assist with their daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and communicate current promos, store activities, and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services in the total store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with safety standards
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy
  • Educate guests on Target App features (Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, online ordering)
  • Direct guests to enroll and use these features as appropriate
  • Handle returns per policy and escalate to leadership as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with stocking during store hours
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Comply with safety policies and report hazards; maintain a compliant work environment
