Work HoursPRN III, 7:00am – 7:00pm, minimum of 6 shifts per 6 week schedule required
Mom/Baby Department Highlights- Level II Maternal Designation with Level II NICU
- Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist Based Model
- 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
- 40–45 deliveries per month

- Diploma in Nursing or
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- BSN preferred
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred
- RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required
- NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required
- NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
