Your Role:As a PACU Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center, you'll provide safe and effective care to patients post-surgery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patient care areas and ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
- Implementing airway management techniques and monitoring vital signs.
- Administering IV catheters and conducting thorough patient evaluations.
- Checking surgical sites and maintaining a comforting environment for patients and families.
- Guiding patients through discharge criteria to ensure safe recovery.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in PACU or ICU settings, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Current RN license in your state of employment.
- BCLS Certification (online certification not acceptable) and ACLS required.
- PALS certification as required by the facility.
