Lead Psychiatric Nurse

Neighbors Counseling is a trauma‑informed and client‑centered practice committed to meaningful change through compassionate care. We provide psychotherapy services for children, adults, couples, and groups. Our practice also values mental health education and community engagement through our Neighbors Network initiative. This program focuses on building professional connections and raising awareness about diversity in mental healthcare to better serve the community.

This role is an ongoing permanent contracted partnership with an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse based in Allen, TX, with opportunities at our North Richland Hills office if willing to travel. The role involves providing psychiatric care to clients, including mental health assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, and administration and observation of Spravato Esketamine in compliance with our practices REMS certification. The ideal candidate would have private or self‑employed experience to be a partnering member rather than employee performing psychiatric services.

• Professional expertise and credentials as a Nurse Practitioner and experience in the fields of Nursing in a private or self‑employed setting.
• Clinical experience and knowledge in Psychiatry and Mental Health care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Dedication to trauma‑informed and client‑centered care practices
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a psychiatric focus or a related field
• Active and unrestricted license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Texas
• Familiarity with mental health CPT codes and insurance processes

• Able to treat ADHD through non‑stimulate or natural treatment options.
• Able to treat OCD and mild or managed Eating Disorders
• Knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders.
• Recognizing and treating health and diet related symptoms related to stress or trauma.
• Experience or willingness to learn to implement psychotherapy techniques during psychiatric follow ups.

• 1099 contract with 65% of earnings for psychatric and 50% for Spravato observation.
• Self guided scheduling with 4 consistent days in the week and autonomy for scheduling follow up appointments.
