Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech - Cath Lab PRN Days

Join Texas Health Resources as a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech (Cath Lab PRN Days) at Texas Health Allen, located at 1105 N Central Expwy, Allen, TX 75013.

Work Hours

PRN weekday shifts , with occasional weeknight and weekend calls.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Applied Science or accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
  • High School Diploma with 2 years invasive cardiology experience.
  • 1 year vascular or cardiac angiography experience preferred.
  • Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire; ARRT required on hire.
  • Other certifications: GMRT, LMRT, RCES, BCLS.
Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures to patients or guardians prior to exams.
  • Adjust technique parameters for age-related factors.
  • Process and analyze images, troubleshoot, and repeat procedures as needed.
  • Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities.
  • Use multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions for patient care.
  • Check physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and medications per guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards.
  • Perform quality control and regulatory compliance tasks.
