Behavioral Health Therapist (BHT) – Full-time, Days
Join Texas Health Resources as a Behavioral Health Therapist in Plano, TX. You will provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and counseling to patients in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Work LocationTexas Health – 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75093
Primary location:
Allen Clinic. May also provide coverage at other locations as needed.
Full-time;
Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

- Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work (required).
- Two years of healthcare‑related counseling or social work (preferred).
- LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPC‑A, LMFT, or LMFT‑A licensed upon hire (required).
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) prior to independent patient care.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) upon hire and 30‑day training requirement.
- Advanced CPI (ACPI) maintained annually (6 or 12 months).
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and counseling.
- Conduct unstructured therapy and didactic group therapy as scheduled or ordered by physician.
- Adapt treatment to reflect age‑specific, developmental, and cultural considerations.
- Demonstrate competence with adolescent treatment and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is a 366‑bed, Magnet‑designated hospital and recognized clinical leader in Plano, Frisco, and surrounding communities.
