Position: Project Engineer - Dynamic Engineering

Responsibilities
  • Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property.
  • Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports, including the review of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines.
  • Prepare Conceptual Site Plans.
  • Prepare preliminary Grading Plans and Design.
  • Design stormwater management and stormwater conveyance systems, utility systems, and soil erosion and sediment control design plans.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates.
  • Prepare project proposals.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Coordinate with client, other consultants and project team to develop a comprehensive site plan application.
  • Prepare technical reports, including drainage, sanitary sewer and site investigation reports.
  • Prepare written correspondence to outside agencies, client, contractor, etc.
  • Present to planning and zoning boards, municipal agencies and project teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting).
  • Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Truck and Turning & Modeling software.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the planning and zoning process.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic, hydraulic and stormwater design.
  • Proficient in design and drafting capabilities, grading and drainage design skills.
  • Utility design experience; including pump station and force mains.
  • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.
  • Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes.
  • Construction support experience.
  • Proficient with design tools for site engineering:
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Hydrology software (Hydraflow, Hydro

      CAD, Pond Pack)
    • Hydraulic software (Hydraflow, Storm

      CAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis)
    • HEC‑RAS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
  • Proficient in Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe for design document markups.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Independent and critical thinking abilities.
  • Superior organizational and delegation ability.
  • Ability to work and lead in a team‑oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring.
  • Client management experience.

The salary range for this position is $95k – $115k.
