As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will play a vital role in supporting both our patients and the clinical team throughout the orthodontic treatment process. • Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.
• Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
• Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients on post‑treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long‑term oral health.
• Coordinate care and follow‑ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision‑making and continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high‑quality specialty care.
• Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

• Assisting Orthodontist with procedures
• Untying and tying arch‑wires
• Bending and placing arch‑wires
• Fitting bands
• Preparing for and assisting with bonding
• Taking impressions
• Communicating with patients and families
• Taking x‑rays and developing x‑rays
• Taking intraoral and extraoral photographs
• Utilizing the computer imaging system
• Sterilizing instruments
• Pouring up models
• Inventorying supplies

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year of specific orthodontic experience
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
