We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Associate Director, Construction and Quality Management, to oversee and integrate both construction execution and quality management across multiple large-scale data center projects for top global technology clients. This leadership role will manage a team of Quality Supervisors and Construction Managers working across different states, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence in all phases of construction delivery.
Based primarily out of our Allen, Texas office, this position requires frequent, ad-hoc travel to project sites across the US. The Associate Director will serve as a key leader in driving construction efficiency, enforcing quality standards, mentoring diverse teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role demands strategic thinking, operational leadership, and deep expertise in both construction and quality management practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of both construction execution and quality management programs across multiple data center projects.
- Manage, mentor, and develop teams of Construction Managers and Quality Supervisors located across various project sites.
- Establish and enforce construction and quality procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client objectives.
- Serve as the primary executive liaison for clients on construction and quality matters, delivering regular updates and fostering trusted partnerships.
- Oversee project site audits, inspections, and performance reviews to ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Drive integration across construction, engineering, commissioning, and safety functions, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Review and approve construction execution plans, RFIs, submittals, method statements, and quality documentation.
- Develop KPIs and reporting systems to track progress, identify gaps, and communicate performance across executive and client stakeholders.
- Lead lessons-learned programs and continuous improvement initiatives across the construction and quality functions.
- Support contract development, bid evaluations, and contractor prequalification processes, ensuring strong construction and quality criteria.
- Represent the company in client meetings, executive briefings, and industry forums related to construction and quality management.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, codes, and best practices in construction and quality to drive innovation across programs.
Required qualifications:
- 18+ years of progressive experience in construction management and quality assurance/quality control, with leadership in mission-critical environments.
- Proven track record directing multi-disciplinary teams (construction, quality, engineering) on large-scale data center or high-tech infrastructure projects.
- Deep understanding of construction processes across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Experience establishing and implementing QA/QC systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and other applicable standards (ASHRAE, IEEE, IBC, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing contractor performance, construction execution, and compliance with quality standards.
- Strong financial and contractual understanding to align construction execution with project objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to integrate safety and quality into construction processes.
