In this position, we are looking for highly motivated powertrain calibration engineers to deliver fuel economy, emissions, OBD, and drivability attributes on many different internal combustion and hybrid powertrain programs.
Responsibilities- Calibration and development of leading edge aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirements
- Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, NVH) on vehicles and engine dynamometer test cells
- Modify powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics
- Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics
- Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration
- 1+ years’ experience with one more of the following software tools: ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration
- Strong understanding and experience with Accurate Technologies, Inc. (ATI), or similar, testing and data acquisition tools and software
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem‑solving and conflict management skills

This position is a salary grade 5 through 8, ranging from $63,480 to $162,120.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
