Mechanical Technician Midstream

Overview

The Maintenance Technician’s prime function is to prepare and execute planned mechanical maintenance activities on all TAQA‑operated onshore assets (GSB, PGI and BDF). Equipment to be maintained includes gas turbines, valves, pumps, fans, electrical and gas turbine‑driven compressors, chillers, etc. Activities will be executed alone, with colleagues and/or specialized vendors. The technician reports findings, malfunctions and corrective actions in the Maintenance Management system MAXIMO.

• Maintain TAQA assets to deliver quality and availability of installations in accordance with scope of work, rules, regulations and TAQA’s job instructions and procedures.
• Coordinate work with operators and maintenance teams as appropriate.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved working procedures.
• Execute maintenance and modification activities as per planning.
• Supervise and assist service‑ and sub‑contractors.
• Conduct other various tasks not specified, as required by Maintenance coordinator or MTL.
• Provide feedback to the Maintenance Engineering team for improvements of PM tasks.
• Responsible for correct use of supplied tools and equipment and the personal toolbox.
• Maintain good housekeeping at the site.
• Report all accidents/incidents/near misses and potential hazards immediately.
• Mark up drawings after modifications and check revised drawings.
• Create work requests for follow up on inspection when required.
• Daily report executed activities in MAXIMO.

We’re happy to hear from professionals with an MTS (Level
4) degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 5‑10 years of experience in Oil & Gas and/or petrochemical industry. Both Dutch and English language skills are required.

Preferred skills (the more, the better):

• Detailed knowledge and experience with gas turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, etc.
• Mechanical ATEX.
• Knowledge and experience with hoisting & lifting activities.
• Knowledge and experience with a CMMS (preferably Maximo).
• Knowledge and experience with office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Maintaining good housekeeping at the site.
• Report all accidents/incidents/near misses and potential hazards immediately.
• Mark up drawings after modifications and check revised drawings.
• Create work requests for follow up on inspection when required.
• Daily report executed activities in MAXIMO.
