Software Engineer, Software Testing
International Optical Medical Device company located in Aliso Viejo is looking to identify and hire a Software Verification and Validation Technician / Software Tester / QA Tester. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering, the Software Verification and Validation Technician / Software Tester / QA Tester is responsible for contributing to the testing and documentation of products and other software tools.
Primary duties include rigorous testing software for the Medical Device and other software tools in compliance with regulatory and industry standards. In addition, the engineer will be responsible for updating and creating documentation that aids in the software testing and development processes.
The Software Verification and Validation Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ensuring that software products meet quality and safety standards.
- Developing and executing test protocols, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated).
- Analyzing test results and providing detailed feedback to the development team.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues.
- Participating in design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Modifying and maintaining test plans, reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Gaining and applying familiarity with IEC 62304 and other relevant regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or software engineering.
- Capable of software testability, robustness, and performance, or a demonstration of the ability to quickly learn any missing elements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
