The Senior IAM Developer will support identity and access management initiatives with a strong focus on OKTA-based integrations.
This role involves implementing secure authentication solutions, configuring OKTA services, managing API credential migrations, and ensuring adherence to enterprise security standards.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in IAM protocols, OKTA configuration, and API security, with the ability to deliver scalable and resilient integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to gather and clarify requirements for application integrations.
- Implement secure integrations for workforce, customer, and partner applications using OKTA, aligning with enterprise security standards and established protocols.
- Work closely with IAM and Apigee teams on configurations involving secure vaults and automated password rotation.
- Support the migration of a large volume of API credentials, ensuring secure, accurate, and seamless transitions.
- Configure core OKTA components including SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management for enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain integration scripts and workflows for identity provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for authentication, authorization, and token management.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, analyze root causes, and implement timely resolutions.
- Document technical processes and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with OKTA implementation, configuration, and integration.
- Strong understanding of IAM protocols including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
- Familiarity with API management platforms such as Apigee and experience with API credential migration.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Experience with secure vault technologies and automated password rotation tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their identity integration patterns.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC
2) and modern security best practices. - Ability to write automation or integration scripts using languages such as Python or Power Shell.
