Senior Safety Coordinators / Assistant Safety Directors are needed for a renowned construction organization outside of Pittsburgh, PA (near Shippingport). This role is essential for promoting a zero-accident culture and ensuring that all project activities comply with company policies and OSHA regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to construction site safety and a proactive approach to risk management. This position requires 2-15+ years of commercial construction safety experience, with a preference for managing large-scale, complex projects. Formal safety training in hazardous energy control, crane management, and fall protection is expected. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

A bachelor’s degree in safety management and professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or SMS are highly desirable. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage on-site safety efforts on complex projects, collaborating with project teams and clients
  • Develop and implement a robust safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Mentor and manage trade partners to help them implement effective safety programs
  • Identify, track, and correct safety deficiencies in the field
  • Conduct daily inspections and teach on-site safety classes, including OSHA‑10 and OSHA‑30
  • Manage and coordinate on-site training, wellness initiatives, and safety material procurement
Qualifications
  • Experienced safety professional with 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required)
Skills
  • Strong safety knowledge and leadership
