Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour.

We are looking for a friendly, approachable Service Clerk to join our Smart & Final store operations team. As a Service Clerk, you will maintain carts, assist customers, and help keep the store clean and organized.

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into shopping carts and vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for checkout personnel.
• Pull merchandise from check stand (“go backs”) and return items to their proper shelf.
• Walk aisles and return any misplaced items to their correct location.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store entrance and interior by sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
• Restock restrooms and perform general store maintenance as needed.

• Read and write English. Communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.
• Read simple instructions, product labels, and shelving codes.
• Write short correspondence.
• Present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC / Outlook skills.
