Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.
Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

- Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
- Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
- Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to assist with specific needs and solve issues.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Execute daily tasks to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
- Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
- Process price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
- Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
- Be knowledgeable about total store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Work safely and comply with safety policies, reporting hazards and correcting where possible.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with laws (e.g., adult beverage laws).
- All other duties based on business needs.

- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

- Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment as directed.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within time frames.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb ladders as required.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., drive-up, carryout).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
