The Lot Porter assists both the Sales and Service Departments in maintaining the new and used car lots, and in transporting vehicles to appropriate departments for service and inventory control.

The Porter Position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include a base hourly compensation of between $16.50 and $20.00.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.

  • Driver's License

Job-Specific Expectations

  • Parks vehicles according to policy and under the direction of Sales/Marketing to ensure the lot is attractive to potential buyers.
  • Assist Sales and Service staff in moving vehicles for efficient dealership operations.
  • Responsible for adding and maintaining key tags and window stickers on all lot vehicles.
  • Drive vehicles to other dealerships for 'dealer swaps' or to vendors as requested.
  • May pick-up or deliver customers using dealership vehicles.
