What will you be doing:- Responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter‑ and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge.
- Practice under the Board of Registered Nursing California code of regulations, Title 16, Article 8, Section 1480‑1485, utilizing the Nurse Practitioner Standardized Procedures.
- Provide individualized care upholding CSHS philosophies including but not limited to care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, the Plan for Provision of Patient Care, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan, the Professional Organization Standards, Code of Conduct, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform all job duties with sensitivity and attention to age and developmental milestones of the population served, which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
- Identify the ability of the age‑specific population served to follow instructions and give consent. Identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environment and provide appropriate assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones.
- One (1) plus year experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferred).
- Experience working with IBD patients (preferred).
- Three (3) plus years of acute nursing experience.
- Master of Nursing Degree.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses.
- Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License.
- National Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current DEA license and furnishing number or eligibility to obtain.
- Current ACLS certification required.
