Role Summary
Our client, a healthcare education organization focused on vocational nursing training, is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead its Vocational Nursing Program. This role is responsible for overseeing academic operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving program quality and student success.
The ideal candidate is a nursing education leader with strong experience in curriculum development, faculty leadership, and accreditation processes. This individual will guide the program’s strategic direction while ensuring alignment with state regulatory requirements and educational standards for vocational nursing education.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the Vocational Nursing program
, ensuring academic quality and program integrity.Develop, implement, and maintain curriculum aligned with state regulatory requirements and licensure preparation standards.
Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and support nursing faculty and staff.
Monitor program performance metrics including student retention, graduation rates, and licensure readiness
, and implement improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies and state vocational nursing board regulations
.Lead program development initiatives and support accreditation activities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students and faculty.
Collaborate with internal departments and external clinical partners to enhance learning opportunities and program resources.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
Minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse
, including:At least one year in teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved registered nursing, vocational nursing, or practical nursing program,
orThree years of experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years.
Strong knowledge of vocational nursing education regulations and standards in California.
Demonstrated experience with program development, regulatory compliance, and accreditation processes
.Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
.
Doctorate in Nursing or a related field.
Extensive experience in curriculum development and academic program leadership within nursing education.
