Overview
Summer school teacher to teach Credit Recovery to middle school students. School Year (Summer School).
Please note:
Sessions below are anticipated and dependent on student enrollment. Teachers must be able to work both sessions. If the course is done early then the extra pay summer school assignment will end early.
- Grade and assign assignments on Odyssey
- Monitor student progress – discuss positive or negative progress with students
- Monitoring Progress Expectations:
- Be aware of the number of assignments students are completing each day
- If progress is lacking:
- Speak with the student (goal setting with student, alternative assignments, etc. to help students succeed)
- Communicate lack of student progress and needs to parents; if parents are Spanish speaking please have an FSL reach out to parents.
- If it still continues, inform Coordinator of Summer School
- Maintain a classroom climate conducive to learning, build relationships
- Hold and participate in daily office hours (during scheduled work time) to provide help for students (ex: math teacher will hold office hours to provide assistance for students with math questions).
- Be available for student/parent questions or concerns. Staff will respond to email or messages within a reasonable timeframe. Emails or messages received after 1pm will not be responded to until the subsequent day.
- Post grades to Google spreadsheet;
Admin will post grades in Schoology - Follow policies, regulations, and procedures of the school district

June 1 - June 18, 2026- Week 1:
June 1 - June 5;
Monday - Friday - Week 2:
June 8 - June 12;
Monday - Friday - Week 3:
Monday, June 15 and Thursday, June 18; (No School on June 16th and June 17th)

June 22 - July 9, 2026- Week 1:
June 22 - June 25;
Monday - Thursday - Week 2:
June 29 - July 2;
Monday - Thursday - Week 3:
July 6 - July 9;
Monday - Thursday

Appropriate Illinois teaching certificate/licensure.
