HUNTLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT #158

Located in McHenry and Kane counties of northern Illinois, Huntley Community School District 158 serves 8,300 students in Pre‑Kindergarten through grade 12, residing in Huntley, western portions of Lake in the Hills and Algonquin, and surrounding areas. The District employs more than 1,400 staff members. The District is renowned for its campus‑concept idea, devised to accommodate the huge population growth it experienced in the 2000s.
Over that period, the District transformed from a one elementary/one high school district to its current five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one comprehensive high school, located on three campuses. OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Superintendent works collaboratively with the Superintendent and District Cabinet to substantially and effectively provide leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services for all grade levels. The Assistant Superintendent provides leadership in developing clear and consistent analysis of curriculum, programs and school performance for systematic district improvement; assists the Superintendent in working with the board, administrative team, staff, parents, community groups, and professional organizations.
The candidate should have the ability to work collaboratively and articulate a vision for innovation in education and school improvement.
M.A. or Ed.D in Educational Leadership;
Administrator Endorsement required, Superintendent Endorsement preferred. Previous professional experience in Educational Leadership. Minimum of 3 years of building or district level leadership is preferred.
