Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, gas or heating (or equivalent)
  • Domestic Core Gas Safety (CCN1 or equivalent) (servicing of central heating, cookers, fires, meters, and flue analysing)
  • LPG (desirable)
  • Full driving licence

You will have use of one of our company vans visiting our customers’ homes, fixing various plumbing/gas repairs including diagnosing boiler faults and fixing them or replacing boilers as part of our planned programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimise disruption to customers and ensure compliance with safe methods of working in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations & FHGs Health, Safety and Environment Policy. Maintain effective communication with the supervisory/administration and management staff passing on information, concerns and problems with regard to any jobs.
  • Attend pre‑arranged responsive repair appointments to carry out work or contact tenants directly to make access arrangements.
  • Work flexibly to enable repairs to be carried out at times arranged with the customer.

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon - Thurs 8:00am till 4:00pm, Fri 8:00am till 3:30pm with 30 minutes break for lunch, paid monthly. You’ll also get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and concessionary days holiday at Christmas.
