Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) - Alfred, ME, 04002

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.75 - $17.75 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 8-12 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for day‑to‑day work, communication with your supervisor, time reporting, and surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours, including the actual holiday itself and weekends.
  • Department resets: You may assist with installations, fixture installations, and resetting card sections. Typical assignments are notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you will support other team members as needed in their territories.
  • Physical Requirements

    This physically demanding job requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and step ladders.

    Basic Qualifications
    • You are at least 18 years of age.
    • You can read, write, and understand English.
    • You can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
    • You can operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
    • You have consistent access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
    • You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
