Technical Lead

Location: US Coast Guard Yard, Baltimore, Maryland

Employment Type: Full-Time / 100% On-Site

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead for a potential opportunity to support IT initiatives at the US Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, Maryland
. The Technical Lead will be responsible for architecting solutions, leading technical execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of mission‑critical IT systems. This role requires both strong hands‑on technical expertise and the ability to present solutions and strategies to Federal leadership.

• Architect Microsoft Power Platform solutions to meet client requirements.
• Present technical designs and solution strategies to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop tailored software solutions.
• Design and customize software for client use with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency.
• Analyze and design databases within an application area, lead or coordinate database development activities.
• Supervise and guide technical execution, ensuring high‑quality delivery across all development efforts.

• 12+ years of experience in IT solution development and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Proven experience designing solutions for the Federal Government

• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Power Platform

• Strong background in software and database architecture.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly with senior Federal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
