As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Specialist in Alexandria, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within logistics and distribution environments. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will interact with visitors and employees, assist with access control, and utilize technology to support your daily responsibilities.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with any security-related concerns as they arise.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including both the business interior and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help deter potential issues and provide reassurance to clients and visitors.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
