Position: Armed Security Guard with Security Clearance
Summary The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers location. Responsibilities
* Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders.
* Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.
* Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.
* Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment.
* Will conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection.
* Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
* Other duties as assigned Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS.
* Active Secret clearance.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.
* Certified in use of Batons.
* Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
* Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
* Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by customer.
* 1.5 mile run in 17:30 minutes
* 19 push-ups in 2 minutes
* MMPI test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
* Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
